With this process, it is guaranteed that Elite Precision Roller Chain side plates fall within the tight tolerances established by ANSI and ASME.
• Elite Ultra & Pro Series Precision Roller Chain utilizes a "wide waist" design on its side plates, which increases strength while it combats fatigue.
• Elite Ultra & Pro Series Precision Roller Chain side plates are ball burnished. Ball burnishing cleans, pre-stresses and hardens the inside diameter of the rivet pin holes, maximizing resistance to fatigue.
• Elite Ultra & Pro Series Precision Roller Chain solid rollers and solid bushings are cold forged.
• Elite Ultra & Pro Series Precision Roller Chain side plates, rollers and solid bushings are shot peened before assembly, making Elite Precision Roller Chain dynamically stronger.
• Elite Ultra & Pro Series Precision Roller Chain rivet pins are made from alloy steel.
• Elite Ultra & Pro Series Precision Roller Chain rivet pins, rollers and bushings are subjected to a carbon-nitride heat-treating process.
